project for the extension of existing 5-star resort hotel and serviced apartments within landscaped garden setting. the buildings are designed to establish a coherent relationship to the existing buildings and landscape, focusing views and defining vistas for the entire site. the serviced apartment building design articulates discreet blocks separated by small courtyard gardens within a single gently curved block.

lighting design was critical to the creation of a soft atmosphere for this visually sensitive specialist clinic. a variety of discreet elements come together to articulate the relationship between the central patient waiting area and the various clinical components, as well as creating visual diversity.

the renovation of this penthouse residence included the design of a new spiral staircase connecting the living room to the extensively remodeled roof terrace.

commercial development and landscaped civic square including a 5 star hotel, service apartments and multi-storey shopping centre. design focused on establishing a strong relationship between the commercial development and the people’s plaza. the buildings form a backdrop to the plaza and the sunken mall creating a sense of spatial continuity between the two sites.

winner of the international competition, the project proposes a conceptual framework for the urban expansion of singapore towards the straits. the 60 hectares of recently reclaimed land designated as a residential district have been re-constituted conceptually as a series of interconnected layers in an attempt to resolve the tensions inherent in the creation of programmed urbanity.

extensive renovation of commercial podium and open plaza for prestigious downtown mixed-use complex. design includes new retail connections to the office tower, a feature glass entrance pavilion in reflecting pool on corner of nelson street and new plaza landscape as well as interior design of office lobbies and retail areas.

continuous surfaces were used to unify the waiting, reception and circulation areas and create a sense of flowing space for this upmarket specialist clinic. graphic elements integrated into the design add a visual layer and enhance the otherwise internalized spaces.

the inherent qualities of the existing structure were enhanced by a complete re-interpretation of the spaces. a layering of traditional and modern elements was used to create a mediated relationship between interior and exterior. the roof top veranda features a glazed roof using low energy glass below a wood trellis. other materials used were stone, glass block and marmolino.
