the shopping arcade was first built in 1980s with 2-4 stories with a total area of 15,000s.m. the renovation project aims to create a modern distinctive image. the structure is kept with “re-dressing” a new skin. circulation within the complex is also improved in order to revitalize the shopping complex. the concept of the design manages to give a new definition to the space and giving rise of “sense of place”.

shun tak centre is a commercial and transport complex on the northern shore of hong kong island in sheung wan, hong kong. it comprises a 4-storey podium containing a shopping centre and car park, two 38-storey office towers, and the hong kong-macau ferry terminal. it is the headquarters of shun tak group, the principal hong kong operating company of dr. stanley ho, the macau casino tycoon.

this development proposal focuses on the existing feoso building at 875 lai chi kwok road. cheung sha wan, kowloon. currently the building functions as a warehouse with private offices situated at the 11th floor. our proposal is to convert the landuse to residential and shopping complex.

beige natural stone finishes were used throughout this classical scheme, with brown & gold tones to compose a harmonious atmosphere for the chamber’s guests. simple gerogian style moldings highlight the decor in echo with the gesture of the building’s facade. the idea to blend the cultural heritage and traditional values of cgcc elegantly, creating a unique sense of arrival.
